We have professional beekeepers in PK4! Students stamped with bubble wrap to create honey combs for box hives in our dramatic play center. A beekeeper uses smoke to calm the bees to safely remove the frames to harvest honey.

How does fat keep mammals warm? Fourth grade students predicted and then tested whether Crisco (fat) would allow them to keep their hand submerged in ice water longer than doing the same process without Crisco.
