Congratulations to our 2nd Graders on their First Reconciliation! May God bless them on their special day!

At IHM we love when our teachers share their talents with their class. Ms. Negrete is our PK4 teacher and she recently played her violin for both PK3 and PK4 classes. The students have learned to sing the song in sign language too!

Second graders had a fun pajama day! We used M&Ms to practice division. Then we enjoyed snacks and The Polar Express movie.

2nd grade enjoyed Nutcracker stories in reading this week!

kindergarten is building homes for animals. They are learning to work together cooperatively and thinking about specific things there animal may need.

kindergarten just finished up our unit on measurement now its time to put all we have learned into practice!

We had a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving feast today. Happy Thanksgiving!

2nd grade researched and created posters about a American symbol of their choice. They did an excellent job on their posters!!

Today the students engaged in a fun science and engineering activitiy today. They created a monster and then worked together to make monster trap. This activity taught a lot of communication skills and team building skills. The students learned a valuble lesson in working together.

All saints day party/Halloween class or treat

Today kindergarten carved pumpkins with their guardian angels.

It's beginning to look like fall here at IHM!

kindergarten had a fun day exploring pumpkins! We used our 5 senses to learn about them, then we decorated them and tried different pumpkin treats.

PK4 learning to make pumpkins from play dough in our sensory center!

Eighth Grade got to explore the importance of words today by screaming Walt Whitman’s “O Captain! My Captain!” The 8th-grade learned through this poem that words have meaning and an author’s words have intention. Then, we put our studies to practice by finding the emotion in each Stanza! It was a great exercise in literature and a stress reliever at the end of the first nine weeks at Immaculate Heart of Mary.
